UPRISE Trail Running Camp

A progressive and social trail running experience. Hosted by Four Seasons Resort Whistler.
This retreat will take you out into the crisp air and to the peaks of the stunning Whistler Mountains. Under the guidance of professional coaches it will challenge your body and mind; leaving you skilled, inspired, and ready to tackle the rest of your 2015 running goals.
We ensure an environment that is very welcoming to even the novice trail runner. As a running ability minimum, we place the ability to casually run a 5km as a minimum requirement.

Who Is This Retreat For?
Participants must be at least 16 years of age. We welcome everyone from the newbie athlete to the elite. We have the experience to work with a multitude of run levels. The critical common thread: the willingness to learn and excel at sport. We've got you covered.
This training program is custom-tailored to match the running and fitness levels of the all participants. Nervous about joining a group We'll put your concerns to rest.
Retreat runs will range from quick and easy 5km (3.1mi) shake out runs to longer 30km(19mi) scenic runs that will offer you the opportunity to push your limits and take in some stunning views.
Longer runs will be broken into segments to cover advanced and essential running education. Emphasis is on fun.
What to Expect?
With a group of inspiring, like minded men and women you will have the opportunity to completely immerse yourself in trail running while living the Whistler lifestyle. From incredible trails to learning how to train smarter not harder, regardless of your current ability, our team of experts work with you to achieve your goals and have lots of fun doing it.
Over the course of the weekend you will trail run, feast on incredible athlete meals on a patio overlooking the coastal mountains, partake in Whistler culture, work through a full functional movement screening, learn new mobility and strength training exercises, and be immersed in classes such as Sports Nutrition 101/102, and Race Fueling and Strategy. You will learn and receive some of the same training, attention, and skills that olympic athletes strive for.
Upon arrival at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) athletes will receive a warm welcome from the UPRISE staff.

Athlete Experience Contribution: $900
Our staff will assist with arranging special UPRISE Athlete Four Seasons Luxury Accommodation Packages on request. Double occupancy is available upon request so this experience can be shared with those closest to you.

8:00pm: Welcome Meet/Greet TOAST to athletes (Patio BBQ, Four Seasons Resort Whistler.) Optional: 5km shake out trail run with URPISE Coaching Staff. 6pm
**Friday, 28th of August
7:30am – 9:00am: Breakfast. Four Seasons. Nutrition 101 Presented.
9:30am - 10:30am: Movement, Strength Assessment. Video analysis. (Whister Olympic Park) We'll move as a group to the plaza.
*10:30am – 12:00pm * Trail Run Clinic, Lost Lake Trail. 6-9km rolling smooth trail.
12:30pm – 2:00pm: Lunch.
2:30pm – 4:00pm: Nutrition 102 Presentation. The accelerated and complete presentation of daily eating and sports nutrition like the pros. Program shaped to create a leaner, stronger well fueled runner.
4:30pm Strength Training for the Endurance Athlete- Complete session of weight lifting and functional training programming, tons to take home for increased watage
5:45 *pm: Packet Pick Up Registration for 5 Peaks Trail Race, Whistler Village. Lululemon FORLiSË #202-4283 Mountain Square, We'll all move together across the village to show/pick up packages and represent like a team! *7:30 pm: Pre Race Dinner- Whistler Village-
Saturday, 29th of August
8:00am – 9:00 am: Breakfast. (Portobello- Blackcomb/Upper Village) * 9:30am:* Depart for Gondola. Run 1.5km in Group.
10:00am: UPLOAD to top of Whistler Peak Chair. The 5 Peaks Trail Race Sport 6.6 or Enduro 11.6, race as you wish. We’re there to support.
5:00pm: Return to resort-
FREE TIME: Village Shopping, Spa, Massage 8:00pm: Dinner at Four Seasons Sidecut. Optional: After hours Village entertainment led by UPRISE staff.

8:00 – 9:00 am Breakfast Seminar: The Art of Recovery.
9:30 Check out of Accommodations
9:45am - Walk to Gondola- WEATHER PERMITTING, 23km Ridge Run from top of Whistler. Absolutely spectacular visual.
4:00pm: Send off lunch. (Athletes staying the night of the 30th- Optional Trail Run with UPRISE Staff)
