Paul Romero has been leading teams into some of the most challenging environments around the globe for over a decade. He has competed and hit the podium in over 100 expedition adventure races on 5 continents for the last 12 years, climbed the 7 summits with his son, Jordan, and has been exposed to some of the most gruelling ultra-competitions in the world. His passion for sport, wellness, and longevity is contagious. It’s impossible not to feel inspired after only 10 minutes in his company. He'll be sharing his time between BC and the warm waters of Maui. 


Candice Drouin


Professional Snowboarder/Skier and Winter Sport Specialist

Candice is a Banff native and makes the big move back to the Sea to Sky Corridor to join the UPRISE Team. She is a Crossfit Trainer, weightlifting coach and specialist in strength & conditioning, with many years of Olympic lifting experience.  She has her Advanced Coaching Diploma and is currently completing her Masters in Coaching Studies at the University of Victoria. Candice worked for Canada Snowboard for six years as the Head Coach of the Canadian Paralympic Team. In 2014 she took the team to the Paralympics in Sochi, Russia. Find out more about Candice here


Cameron Hunt


Kinesiologist, Shiatsu Massage Therapist — The Healer

Cameron is the lead on the healing and repair arm of UPRISE. While all of our efforts are going toward injury prevention, the need for integrated healing will surface. Our athletes are covered in all aspects treatment with Cameron and his endless skills and tireless passion to optimize health and performance. He's right on sight for all needs for the athletes. He has a degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia (UBC), a Sport Science diploma from Langara College, and has been practicing Ohashiatsu since 2011. We think it's the most exceptional approach to repair and optimization available, anywhere. Zoe Dawson

Run and Strength Coach

With a driven passion for applying herself to every facet of outdoor racing and multi-sport, she believes in empowering people with their ability to not only excel, but be diverse in their fitness, achieving balance and variety with success. ‘If you race happy, you've already won.’

Hailing from Adelaide, Australia her 4 years in the Sea to Sky Corridor of BC, Canada have produced top podium results in everything from Sprint, Olympic and 70.3 distance triathlons, cross country mountain bike racing, and trail running. She's even the 2015 reigning Red Bull 400 North American Champion. Coaching and mentoring is in her blood. Share time and space with her, and be assured the next level will come your way.
